7th–12th Grade Literature & Writing: Christian Biographies
In this inspiring upper-level class, students will explore the lives of courageous Christians whose faith shaped history. Through reading powerful biographies and engaging in structured writing assignments, students will grow in both literary understanding and spiritual maturity.
What Students Will Learn:
Read and analyze Christian biographies from missionaries, reformers, inventors, pastors, and ordinary believers used in extraordinary ways
Identify literary elements such as theme, character development, narrative structure, and author purpose
Strengthen writing skills through essays, reflections, character analyses, and creative responses
Connect each biography to Scripture, personal faith, and real-life application
Practice research writing, note-taking, discussion skills, and thoughtful journaling
