Welcome to our small Pre-K/ Kindergarten class! Our goal is to create a warm, engaging, and faith-centered learning environment where young learners can grow academically, socially, and spiritually. Our daily schedule is designed to foster curiosity, creativity, and a love for learning through interactive and hands-on activities.
Daily Schedule & Learning Areas
9:00 - 9:10 | Welcome Time
We start our day with a cheerful Good Morning Song, followed by calendar time, where we discuss the day, date, and weather. This routine helps build a sense of structure and community.
Bible, Worship, and Story Time
Each morning, we set aside time for worship, a Bible story, prayer, and verse memorization. This time encourages faith development and instills positive character traits.
Phonics, Reading & Writing
Students engage in phonics activities to strengthen their letter recognition, sounds, and early reading skills. We also focus on penmanship, helping children develop fine motor skills through writing practice.
Sign Language
To encourage communication skills and inclusivity, we learn basic sign language words such as yes, no, share, name, father, and mother.
Math
Our math activities include number recognition, counting, basic addition and subtraction, as well as color and shape recognition. We use hands-on materials to make learning math fun and interactive.
Art, Centers & Pretend Play
Children have the opportunity to express their creativity through art projects and hands-on centers. Pretend play fosters imagination, social skills, and problem-solving.
