🎬 LEGO StoryStudio – Creative Storytelling Through Animation
Ms. Bee’s Homeschool – Spring Semester
LEGO StoryStudio is a hands-on, imagination-driven class where students learn the foundations of storytelling through the fun and accessible world of LEGO stop-motion animation. This class is designed to spark creativity, build confidence, and help students express their ideas in a visual and exciting way.
Students will explore the building blocks of narrative writing — character creation, setting, plot, conflict, dialogue, and resolution — and then bring their stories to life using basic stop-motion techniques. Each week, students will plan, build, film, and edit short animated scenes using LEGO bricks and simple technology.
Rather than focusing on technical perfection, this class emphasizes:
• creative thinking
• problem-solving
• teamwork
• imaginative world-building
• developing a storyteller’s voice
• communicating ideas clearly and confidently
Throughout the semester, students will:
• design characters and mini LEGO sets
• storyboard their ideas
• practice shot framing and sequencing
• create short stop-motion clips
• add simple dialogue, sound, or music
• present their mini films to the class
All materials will be provided. Students are welcome (but not required) to bring a favorite minifigure to feature in their stories.
This class nurtures creativity, collaboration, and joy — perfect for builders, storytellers, and kids who love to bring their ideas to life.
