Bible Class – Second Semester
Walking by Faith: A Study Through the Book of Hebrews
This semester, as I’ve continued studying through the Minor Prophets and praying earnestly about what God would have me teach next, He kept bringing one book before me over and over again: Hebrews. Each time I opened the Word, one theme continued to rise to the surface—living by faith.
✨ Why Hebrews?
Hebrews is a powerful and deeply relevant letter written by Christians, to Christians, and for Christians. It was crafted for believers walking through uncertainty, political instability, and cultural pressure—much like many of us experience today.
In that season, many early Christians were tempted to slip back into the familiar rules and rituals of Judaism. The writer of Hebrews calls them (and us) to remember:
There was a time for sacrifices and rituals
But Jesus came as the perfect, spotless Lamb
His sacrifice fulfilled every requirement of the Old Covenant
And now we are called to live boldly by faith, not by sight
Instead of returning to old patterns, Hebrews urges believers to hold tightly to the confidence we have in Christ.
🌿 What Students Will Learn
Throughout our study of Hebrews, students will:
Understand why Jesus is superior to every Old Testament system
Learn how the entire Old Covenant points to Christ
Explore the call to walk by faith with perseverance
Recognize the dangers of drifting or returning to old ways
Strengthen their confidence in the finished work of Jesus
Apply spiritual truths to everyday life and real struggles
💛 The Heart Behind the Class
This study was born from prayer and obedience. As the Lord continued highlighting Hebrews in my heart, He reminded me that our students need this same foundation: a confident, anchored, unshakeable faith.
Through Scripture, discussion, journaling, and application, we’ll walk through what it truly means to place full confidence in Jesus—our High Priest, our Hope, our Anchor, and the Author and Finisher of our faith.
“The just shall live by faith.” — Hebrews 10:38
“Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering.” — Hebrews 10:23
I’m excited to see all God will teach and establish in our hearts as we journey through Hebrews together.
